All NCV’s are performed by veteran certified technicians on Cadwell machines.  The technicians are well-trained and registered by the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Responsibilities:            8 AM – 5 PM or can be part-time; no narcotics, will visit no more than 5 offices in a typical week with travel time of no more than 1 hour each way and allowing for return to the office by 5 PM each day.  Might visit one office in the morning and another in the afternoon.

                                    The majority of the work is EMG’s, do approximately 12 EMG’s a day; the new doctor would have 2 nerve techs that would do the nerve studies.  The doctor, 2 nerve techs and 3 assistants work as a mobile team.

Call:                             No call or nights

Payors:                         Medicare, Tenncare and participating providers in more than 500 commercial health plans.  The practice is a preferred provider with most workers compensation managed care organizations.

Compensation:              Salary plus incentive totalling approximately $250,000

                                    The bonus/incentive is paid quarterly

Reason for opening:      21-year-old, well-established private practice is adding a 6,000 square foot wellness center which will include PT; they used to be in this space but are now in a 15,500 square foot facility; will seek input from the physiatrist as to which C-arm to purchase to put in what used to be an X-ray suite; they currently are referring patients out for this service

Practice Features:         17 employees to include 6 internists/family physicians, 1 cardiologist and 1 radiologist, nurse practitioners and a physician assistant; all of the doctors are employees in this practice that is owned by a local businesswoman; will be enough referrals to keep the new doctor busy as they have the doctors within the practice and close ties with a workers compensation clinic ; the practice sees 250-275 patients/day

Compensation:              $250,000 base with payment of 50% of receipts after the first year

Responsibilities:       Work at skilled nursing facilities to take care of short-stay

patients in need of rehabilitation, and enhance the quality of the SNF’s rehabilitation program.  Perform medical director duties, including helping to enhance the company’s services, and add new clients and physiatrists.   The attending physician in the SNF takes care of the primary medical needs.  No outpatient responsibilities unless desired.

Call:                             None, no weekends.
