Location: Albany area, NY
Practice Features: 5-year-old, physician-owned pain management company with agreements with hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living centers, D & T’s and adult day care centers in the Albany; the same organization has the same affiliations in NYC to include 21 providers to include a surgeon who is the owner, 5 physiatrists, Board Certified palliative and hospice care doctors, an anesthesiologist, a psychiatrist, psychologists, a chiropractor, a PT, a massage therapist and 10 acupuncturists
Responsibilities: All inpatient; Pain management, typically 75% treatment and 25% drug management; the treatment includes trigger point injections, joint injections, nerve blocks, etc. Approximately 70% chronic pain and 30% acute pain. Acupuncture certification is ideal but not necessary.
Travel to 2 facilities on average a day; See 15 – 25 patients/day depending on location and new consults
Compensation: $150,000- $160,000 a year plus benefits
Affiliation: Employee, can be an independent contractor
Candidate Qualifications: Board Certified or Qualified physiatrist with excellent interpersonal and communications skills; a team player, attention to the coordination of care for the patients is paramount, must have a car
